Orange County, FL vacation rental rules and taxes

Orange County charges a 6% tourist tax on stays of six months or less, on top of 6.5% state sales tax; Airbnb collects it on its bookings. Short-term rentals are tightly zoned: outside the cities, a house can be rented for under 30 days only in R-3 zoning. Orlando allows only hosted home sharing, and Winter Park bans rentals under a month.
